I always find these hard to write, but I know this is a way I can introduce myself and let you get a glimpse of who is behind the words you are reading.
When it comes to how I spend my days, I am a full-time homemaker, wife, and homeschooling mom of three kids: one in high school, one in junior high, and the youngest in elementary school.
Although I consider those roles to be my primary calling(s) in this season, I have been known to also enjoy photography, music, writing, reading, learning, teaching, and caring for others.
One of my favorite Bible verses right now is Psalm 73:26:
My flesh and my heart may fail,
BUT GOD is the strength of my heart,
and my portion forever.
Such HOPE to be found in those words. Those words have become life to my heart and strength in my body as I have learned to live and HOPE, even in the midst of loss and chronic illnesses.
I am learning to take one day at a time: to seek His Fingerprints in every small gift and experience delight in what I may have been too busy to notice before.
Sunrises and sunsets capture my heart daily.
Watching them over the water is even better.
Such a treasure I have been given to watch my children learn and grow each day.
So much strength can come from just one supportive hug from my husband.
I love and seek out watching roses bloom, people come back to life, and butterflies float in the breeze.
Daily I am praying and seeking to discover the gift of an interrupted life: these chronic illnesses have made it possible for me to slow down, savor, and seek the LORD like never before.
Every day is truly now a precious gift.
Praying to redeem each moment for eternity.
